It's a 19 year old boy/man who hacked ps3 network. He got pissed with his hacked lobby on mw2 and hacked ps3 network.

there is a hacking group called anonymous which has been round for a while they hacked the psn network because the jailbreaker geohots was in a court case in america for jailbreaking the Ps3, and anonymous want jailbreaking for the ps3. Also the ps3 servers went down straight after ps3 and PC joined together for portal 2 so maybe the group anonymous have found a way to get into the firewall of ps3.

Nice conspiricy theorys lads, but it's just a plain old hackers, he didn't shut down PSN, he just hacked his way into the PS databases to try and get peoples contact details, he has got E-Mails, Passwords and possibly credit information... Don't get too paranoid though, there's 70million users 4 PSN, your more likely to win the lottery than get ur info taken.
